Beej is ‘a platform for beautiful, simple and honest products. Sourced from different parts of the country, the products form a cohesive whole by virtue of their uncompromising quality and understated aesthetic.’ It is this understated aesthetic that formed part of the brief for the e-commerce site we designed for them as well. The site was designed in close collaboration with one of the founders and took inspiration from their first collection. Type was carefully considered and screensmart fonts are used throughout the site. The layout, palette, use of images and type, echo the thoughtful, minimal and uncluttered aesthetic of their clothes. The site was painstakingly designed to be responsive and translates well to tablets and phones as well.
