Akbar & Birbal

The story of Akbar and the very witty Birbal is something that most kids are told. They’re often amused by the grandeur that surrounds Akbar and the quick wit that Birbal seems to possess. We recently finished a series of illustrations for one such story. The illustrations are part of an App for iPads and iPhones (by the App publishing company Bowtiger). It was a painstaking process constructing each illustration whilst digging out references of costumes and court scenes. We’ve tried to keep the illustrations vibrant and use a style that leans more towards comics, to make it appealing to children.
